MouseRank lets you rank mice without an account. Your browser draft and preferences are stored on your device. Share links contain the list in the URL fragment; anyone you give that link to can read it.

Community ranking contributions

Contributions are off by default. Choosing “Include this list in community stats” sends catalog mouse IDs and their row positions to MouseRank. It does not send your list title, tier names, custom mouse notes or account identity. Row order means S, A, B, C, D and Need to try even when labels are renamed.

A random list identifier and a private editing token on this device let updates replace the previous snapshot. Only a hash of the token is stored on the server. Administrators can see aggregate placements and S rates. These are counts of contributed lists, not unique people or scientific survey results.

Uncheck the contribution option to withdraw the placements. An empty record with the identifier, token hash and revision remains to prevent delayed requests from restoring an older contribution. Clearing browser storage loses the withdrawal credential; withdraw before clearing it. Requests retry when you return after a connection failure.

Discord accounts

When enabled, Discord sign-in supplies your account identity, name, avatar and email. Better Auth manages secure session cookies and authentication records in a Cloudflare D1 database. Login records may include IP address, browser information and provider tokens to maintain account security. Discord has its own privacy policy.

Saved lists are private by default. Publishing makes the list title, tier labels and custom mouse information visible to anyone and potentially search engines. You can unpublish or delete a list from your account. Deleting your account removes its saved lists, sessions and API tokens; public copies and search caches may take time to disappear. Anonymous contributions are separate and can be withdrawn in the builder.

Mouse finder

The mouse finder sends your question and up to two recent questions to the site. When AI interpretation is configured, this text is sent to OpenRouter and a model provider with provider data-collection restrictions. Avoid personal or sensitive information. No account identity is sent to the model. Conversations stay in page memory and clear on refresh or Start over.

Short-lived response caches store interpreted filters and catalog matches under hashed question keys for up to six hours. Failed-provider results expire sooner. Raw conversations are not stored in the application database. Hashed per-address counters and a site-wide daily allowance limit usage. Providers and Cloudflare process requests under their own policies.

Operations and external links

Cloudflare serves the site and processes requests under its service policies. Short-lived hashed request counters limit abuse; MouseRank does not store raw IP addresses in ranking contributions. Administrator actions are logged for catalog and token maintenance.
